10th Anniversary Crossing All Bridges Gala

The 10 year anniversary of CAB provided participants, staff and the community to celebrate our foundation and future directions. A lovely evening at the Best Western ensued featuring lively tunes by PITCH, the antics of Doug the Great, the Brantford Town Crier, and music-spinning by Good Times.

Our MC both before and during the meal was Phil McColeman, MP who entertained our guests with his wit and insight. We heard tributes given by The Honourable Dave Levac, MPP for Brant and Speaker of the House, and Councillor Newmann on behalf of Mayor Chris Friel of Brantford. The evening also provided us with the opportunity to acknowledge all the benefactors who have supported us over the years. Through CAB produced videos, we were able to highlight the contributions of Dianne Belliveau, the recipient of the Community Champion Award, and Roel Valbracht, the recipient of the Most Dedicated Volunteer Award.

In remembering the 10 years since it's foundation, the Gala also provided the community, staff and participants with the opportunity to thank the vision and sheer determination of the four moms whose concept grew into the Centre we love today.

The Gala was planned to increase our awareness within the community of the amazing programs and opportunities provided by CAB. Please join us in thanking our major sponsors; Scotiabank, who donated $5,000 through their matching program, Best Western who donated $5,000 in-kind, and The Expositor for their donation of $5,000 in advertising. Our CAB Artisans designed and created beautiful pieces during the Creative Arts and Wood Working Programs for the Silent Auction as well. Their work showcased the amazing talents our participants! A heartfelt thank you to those who attended and a special thanks for all the generous donations we received.
