CABLC participates in the City of Brantford’s Scare in the Square Event
Crossing All Bridges was thrilled to take the win in both the Pumpkin Carving Contest and for the 4th year in a row the Scarecrow Contest. Participants worked together in the Expressive Arts and Community, Culture and Me program to design and build our Wizard of Oz themed scarecrow and pumpkin. Thank you to everyone who came out to Scare in the Square and voted, we look forward to participating again next year.
Artists declare 'this is me' in new Glenhyrst exhibit
On Sunday, January 29, 2023 the opening of the "This Is Me" exhibit at Glenhyrst Art Gallery was a big success! Thank you to everyone who came out - the pieces will be on display from now until March 5th.

All You Can Eat Charity Breakfast - Knights of Columbus
On Sunday, January 8, 2023 the Knights of Columbus hosted a charity Breakfast for Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre. The fundraiser raised $2,200. The funds will go directly to supporting the enhancement of CABLC's programming. The Knights of Columbus stated that it was the best turnout to date.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Centre and thank you to all the volunteers and staff of both Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre and the Knights of Columbus.
Crossing All Bridges 2nd Annual Witches Night Out
On Friday, October 14, 2022 CABLC hosted its 2nd annual Witches Night Out Event. After being put on hold for two consecutive years due to COVID-19, the committee was ecstatic to host this year's event at the Brantford Golf & Country Club. The event was welcomed by 200 women dressed in their "witchy" attire and guest entertainer Doug Hunt. The event raised $15,000.
Neziol family recognized for contribution to Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre
On Saturday, April 2, 2022 Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre and the CAB Foundation recognized the Neziol Family for their generous donation made to the Capital Connections Campaign.

Crossing All Bridges wins Community Builder Award
On Thursday, August 27, the Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards presented a digital awards show that was available to community members everywhere. Crossing All Bridges was recognized for providing programs, opportunities and jobs for adults living with varying developmental abilities. CABLC also runs their Shredding Barriers company, which provides shredding services to the local community and employment to a very deserving population.

Staying connected during COVID-19 pandemic
The use of technology to deliver programs to our participants is more than continued learning. The social aspect of what happens at Crossing All Bridges is hugely important to this population and for many it is what keeps them getting out of bed each morning.

Program provides funding for social enterprise
New federal funding up to $100,000 is being offered to organizations that are working to do good.
The Investment Readiness Program is a national initiative that will provide $18.5 million across Canada to seed and grow social enterprise.
The Brant Community Foundation is offering the program in Brantford, Brant County, Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations.
Finalists named for annual chamber awards
The Chamber of Commerce Brantford-Brant revealed its finalists for its annual business excellence awards at a reception attended by more than 100 people Wednesday night at the Brantford Golf and Country Club.
Three finalists were named in each of three categories: top company, entrepreneur and community builders. The winners will be announced at a dinner May 7 at the Best Western Brantford Hotel and Conference Centre.
Finalists for top company award, which recognizes business achievements, high standards of employee relations, a strong corporate philosophy and positive impacts in the community, are Brantford Honda, Brantford Toyota and Vive Mechanical.
Campaign raises $3 million for Crossing All Bridges
A capital campaign was launched May 4, 2018, with a goal of raising $2.5 million for the purchase of and upgrades to the former St. Bernard’s elementary school on Sky Acres Drive.
Pinty’s Community Spotlight: Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre
Crossing All Bridges is a not-for-profit charity based in Brantford, Ontario. Developed by parents of adults with different learning abilities, the program was founded in 2003. Participants become empowered through tailored educational experiences that allow them to gain new skills and build their self-confidence. Crossing All Bridges is unique in that it offers a variety of programs that are designed to address participants’ individual learning needs, while still stimulating social inclusion. Program topics range from literacy and culinary arts, to money management, job readiness, and so much more.
Hockey Night in Brantford, a huge success
Wednesday night’s Encore Game, so-named because the fundraising hockey game was brought back after a one-year hiatus, and an auction held Tuesday night resulted in a donation of $146,000 for Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre, which is seeking to raise $2.5 million to help purchase its new home at 65 Sky Acres Dr. The previous top fundraising result for the event was $107,000.
