Long-Term Strategic Planning

Lewis Carroll may have believed that “If you don’t know where you are going any road can take you there,” but we take a more thoughtful and measured approach to planning. When envisioning our future and making strategic plans, we like to involve our staff, Board of Directors, our families, funders and our community. A good plan will help us reach our goals.

Communication

We respect different points of view. Our staff are fierce, smart, open minded, and fun. We are open and honest and, together, we make amazing things happen. 

Learning and Growth

 As a not-for-profit organization professional development budgets are not huge, but we are committed to providing training opportunities, webinars, and courses to enhance the skill sets of our team.

Close-knit Team

We are a close knit team that supports one another by sharing strategies, program ideas and positive behavioural management techniques. We know that together we are stronger and provide the consistency and routine that helps our participants strive. We care about our participants and each other.

Family Focused

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. which gives employees plenty of time to enjoy their families and outside activities. 

Team Building

Every year in August, CABLC staff members participate in team building exercises to increase knowledge, build trust, and provide fun. As a staff team we enjoy participating in dodge ball tournaments, cheering each other on in their sporting endevours, and plan for special events.

Company Growth

CABLC launched in 2003 with 10 participants and 2 staff. We now provide service to over 76 participants and their families and employ a staff of 10. We are not done growing yet! You can be apart of a team that continues to create opportunities for learning and inclusive community activities for some wonderful people.
