In 2016, thanks to a Brant United Way Community Impact Grant, we introduced an after-hours pilot program called CAB Social Club. What a hit! It certainly resonated with our participants as they loved the idea of getting together with friends after-hours to enjoy various social activities – TOGETHER – in their community.

The CAB Social Club continues to be a much-loved after-hours program where participants come together to connect, have fun, and enjoy their community. Meeting bi-weekly on Thursday evenings from 5:30–7:30 p.m., the Club offers a welcoming space to relax, try new activities, and build friendships outside of regular program hours.

Over the years, activities have included everything from mini-golf and campfires to themed dinners, game nights, and community outings. More recently, Social Club members have enjoyed evenings out at local restaurants, special events like Chocolate Bingo, and exciting grant-funded outings such as live concerts, sports games, and dinner cruises.

Social Club remains an important part of CABLC’s mission to support adults living with varying abilities in living full, active, and connected lives.
