A key component of the Recreation and Wellness program is assisting participants in developing a committed and positive attitude towards lifelong healthy active living. Benefits include improved psychological well-being, physical capacity, self-esteem, social interaction, and the ability to cope and manage stress effectively. Activities are implemented to improve muscle tone, spatial awareness, and endurance.
The program is designed to assist participants in understanding how their actions and decisions will affect their health, fitness, and well-being. This program features seasonal activities such as biking, walking, and snowshoeing, as well as, weekly yoga and meditation.
